Wild Wednesday: Thank You Card

Welcome to Wild Wednesday! Last night was a LOOONNGG one. Baby boy has had a bit of a tummy ache for a couple days now, and last night he would just not sleep unless my husband or I held him on our chests and patted his back continuously. (I'm sure you can imagine how much sleep we got) But, no matter how many sleepless nights we encounter, it always seems to be forgotten at the first sign of a giggle or a snuggle. Crafting, for me, is my way of decompressing, especially after the long night I had just experienced.

I was going though my supplies early this morning and decided that I haven't visited my spray inks in awhile. So... I went a little wild and just started spraying and stamping. I didn't really know if all this free styling would look good at all, and I had absolutely no vision of a project in mind. I made multiple changes to the title and the orientation before I realized it was a card! LOL! Hope you enjoy.

I used Mister Huey's spray ink in silver and gold.

I used a star embossing border folder along the side and  top of the card. I believe it's from Cuttlebug.

I don't know if you can see it in the picture, but the spray ink has a very sparkly characteristic to it!

I Hope you are left inspired by my moment of wild crafting! I'm looking forward to sharing with you again soon. Have a lovely day :)

You're My Type Valentine's Day Cards

Happy Tuesday everyone! Yesterday, I had a lazy day at home. I stayed in comfy clothes and ordered a pizza. It was such a wonderful way to spend a Monday :) Plus, it wouldn't be a relaxing day for me if I didn't create something crafty.

So, with Valentine's Day around the corner, I've decided to embrace the love and create some V-Day cards. I used a some of my scrap paper stash and the "lots of love" stamp set I just purchased from Avery Elle.

The front card is a peek into the inside of the card!

Thank you for stopping by and looking at what I've created. Stop back tomorrow for a WILD WEDNESDAY edition! Have a lovely day :)

Animal Crackers Mini Album

Good morning! This week has been amazing here. I've been spending time with my 8 month old son, watching him grow and learn... He learned to clap on his own this week :)

Anyway, while I was rummaging through ALL my paper (yes my name is Christina and I am a paper hoarder), I found an old paper pad that I had maybe used 2 pages from. I loved all the glitter and texture of the paper and the theme of wild animal children really hit close to home! Lol! I decided that this would be the perfect jumping off point for making a mini album. I had never made an album from scratch before. So figuring out the binding and doing all the math to setup the interactive pages was a bit of a challenge, but I'm very happy with the result!

This page has a photo mat and journaling tag that can be pulled out of the pocket.

This page flips up !

This page folds out twice.

And finally, this page has a hidden tag that pulls out for photos or journaling.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my latest project.
Have a lovely day!

Welcome One and All!

Hey, thanks for stopping by today. Welcome to my VERY first blog post. It has taken a long time for me to finally get to a place where I feel ready to put myself and my work out there for the world to see.... But I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself a bit...

My name is Christina, but I'm known amongst my loved ones as TLC (The Lovely Christina). I have been paper crafting for 16 years. I started with scrapbooking photos of myself in middle school. I have to say, like most first scrapbooks, mine looked rough. I WAY overused stickers and I had no concept of proper use of white space. It wasn't until I purchased my first Cricut machine (do you remember the little original Cricut that only took 6"x12" paper?) that I started really feeling the passion for crafting. I began studying trends and subscribing to every paper craft magazine I could. Then I started to visit conventions and talking with other crafters. The fire grew and so did my arsonal of supplies! Paper stacks grew like unruly mountains. My wallet seemed to jump out of my purse everytime a new Cricut cartridge was released. Then, it was stamping and spray inks that were added to the mix. I dare say that buying supplies is almost as fun as using them!!

Anyway, After many years of creating for me and my family, I have finally taken the leap to start this blog. This the first step for me. What's next? Well, this fall I plan on becoming a vendor at my first round of local craft shows. If all goes well... I'm hoping to start my own online business. But I know I have to learn to crawl before I run!

Here's hoping that you'll follow me on my journey... Have a lovely day :)
